Target Audience
This activity has been developed to meet the educational needs of thoracic and cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and other physician groups and allied healthcare professionals with a clinical interest in the management of patients with Atrial Fibrillation.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

• Examine the risk of thromboembolism in the LAA in patients with atrial fibrillation, mitral valve disease, and other conditions.
• Evaluate the clinical safety and efficacy of concomitant Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion during surgery for reducing ischemic stroke or systemic embolism.
• Assess optimal clinical decision-making strategies and LAA surgical closure techniques.
