Overview
Introduction
Welcome to the 9th Annual International Physiology of Pacing Symposium, a gathering of world-renowned faculty who delve into the latest methods and strategies for optimizing the physiological pacing of the heart. This one-day CME-accredited symposium will focus on cutting-edge conduction system pacing (CSP) approaches, including His-bundle Pacing (HBP), left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP), and left ventricular septal pacing (LVSP). These evolving pacing modalities hold immense potential to achieve electrical excitation of the heart through the normal specialized conduction system.
By participating in the symposium, clinicians will not only gain a comprehensive understanding of the history and relevant anatomy of the conduction system, particularly about HBP/LBBAP/LVSP, but also acquire practical knowledge that can be immediately applied in their clinical practice. The program will also provide an overview of established clinical applications and ongoing clinical trials, equipping clinicians with the latest advancements in the field and empowering them to enhance their patient care.

CME Accreditation
Target Audience
This educational activity is designed for electrophysiologists, general cardiologists, electrophysiology fellows in training, and allied healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the evolving role of conduction system pacing (CSP) for standard permanent pacing and cardiac resynchronization.
- Describe challenges and methods for implantation technique of permanent His-bundle pacing (HBP), left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP), and left ventricular septal pacing (LVSP)
- Review the relationship between electrical stimulation of the heart and the mechanics of myocardial contraction.
- Review the history and recent advances of CSP and emerging clinical situations and applications in patients with narrow and wide QRS morphology.
- Review the anatomy of the membranous septum conduction system concerning the right atrium, tricuspid valve, and ventricular septum.
- Summarize strategies and clinical evidence for the various approaches to achieve cardiac resynchronization, including leadless technology, multisite pacing, and left ventricular (LV) endocardial pacing.
- Outline approaches to complications during implant procedures for CSP.
- Discuss approaches for remote monitoring and optimization of CSP and CRT systems.

9th Annual International Physiology of Pacing Symposium 2025
Share your Research with Colleagues and Leading Experts!
Please submit your abstract of original research for the opportunity to present it at the 9th Annual International Physiology of Pacing Symposium. Clinical studies, basic science investigations, or preclinical studies relevant to conduction system pacing are considered original research. Abstracts must convey original research but can include portions of previous abstracts and/or manuscripts presented elsewhere.
An expert panel will judge submitted abstracts, and the authors of the Top 3 Abstracts will be invited to the Symposium (registration, travel reimbursement, and lodging will be provided).
The authors of the Top 3 Abstracts will be invited to present their research work during the New Science Abstract Presentation Session on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Phoenician. The winning abstract author will receive a $1,000 prize and a plaque to commemorate their outstanding achievement, and the runners-up will also each receive a $500 prize. Additionally, each of the 3 top authors will have the opportunity to have their full abstract or research letter published in Heart Rhythm.
Abstracts Submission Policy and Guideline Summary.
Please review the following policies and the travel, accommodations, and reimbursement information before submitting.
Submission Deadline: September 18, 2025.
- Abstract Composition: Abstractsshould convey original research in clinical studies, basic science investigations, or preclinical studies relevant to conduction system pacing. Portions of previous abstracts and/or manuscripts presented elsewhere are permitted.
