Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

Review the importance of comprehensive and clear orientation paths for new device clinicians.
Evaluate strategies to overcome the challenges of staff orientation, particularly in smaller clinics, and explore strategies for tailoring orientation to meet individual needs.
Discuss the vital role of non-clinical support staff in device clinics, including orientation plans, job responsibilities, and strategies for engaging and retaining this unique role to support clinical staff and patient care.
Examine strategies for enhancing patient compliance and connectivity, starting with staff education and remote monitoring of patient agreements.
Assess patient follow-up policies, consistent messaging, and managing non-compliant patients.
Examine the critical role of a physician champion for the cardiac device clinic and assess how to collaborate effectively to advocate for resources, streamline workflows, and improve patient safety.
