Target Audience

This enduring activity has been developed to meet the educational needs of electrophysiologists, cardiologists and other physicians and associated professionals with an interest in managing patients with persistent atrial fibrillation.

This activity is designed to address the following ABMS/IOM competencies: Patient Care, Medical Knowledge, and Practice-Based Learning.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Review large unmet clinical need and challenges of treating persistent AF with current ablation approaches.
  • Evaluate the safety and efficacy of dual epicardial and endocardial ablation for treating persistent or longstanding persistent AF.
  • Assess outcomes data and clinical experiences for comprehensive posterior left atrial ablation in persistent AF patients.
